Bushfire Memorial Exhibition
CARDINIA Shire Council presents the Bushfire Memorial Exhibition, the result of a series of workshops with Bunyip, Garfield and Nar Nar Goon primary schools remembering the Bunyip State Park fire and Black Saturday bushfires. Children from grade levels across the schools worked alongside artists Barry Dickens and Tara Kingston to explore their memories, reflections, thoughts and hopes for the future through both creative writing and visual art methods. This project is presented by Council with support from the Community Recovery Fund (funded by the Federal Government’s Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and the Victorian State Government’s Planning and Community Development Fund).
