Artist biography:

Chris (Christine) Russo was born in Australia, 1952.

She has spent the majority of her life to date living, mothering, volunteering, gardening and painting near Officer, Victoria.

Russo’s flourishing art practice began around 1982 as a tool to combat anxiety. Her art practice today continues to predominantly encompass watercolour and oil painting that marvels the beauty of the natural world, flora in particular. Much of Chris’ subject matter has been taken from her experiences and travels around Australia and more recently from abroad. Her dominant floral works, ever diverse, are often painted straight from her own garden of which she has tended as passionately and diligently as her long-standing art practice.

The precisely delicate landscapes and floral works of Chris Russo are now cherished in the homes of many private collectors.
