Sunday Sounds: Renee Skye

Introducing Sunday Sounds, a series of outdoor free live music sessions for visitors to enjoy during the warmer months of 2024 and 2025.

The sessions will be situated on the terrace of Brewing Bliss café, which will be serving their full menu and seasonal specials. With lovely views of the lake, guests can relish the acoustic performances of local artists while basking in the sun.

Paul Hogan
Sunday, 1 December, 11am – 1pm

Paul Hogan, who has a degree in Music Theatre Performance has established himself as one of Australia’s finest entertainers. His Robbie Williams Show has seen sold out venues of all sizes, including Entertainment Centres and the 2008 Masters Games. Just recently, Paul played the role of “The Lady of The House” in a new Australian Musical called “Quasimodo The Musical” at the Capitol Theatre in Melbourne which received raving reviews. Numerous spots on National TV have also been seen by commercial audiences everywhere. When not performing as the bad boy of pop, he headlines bands such as “The Australian Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons Versus The Beach Boys Show” as well as “The Australian Robbie Williams & Michael Bublé Show “. With a versatile velvety voice that covers swing, jazz, pop and rock, Paul is your man. Just like Robbie, he is a natural born entertainer.

Tony J King creates music that has its roots in the street-corner blues and folk of yesteryear. With guitar, kick drum and foot-tambo, King crafts a raw and authentic musical experience.

Tony J King crafts a raw and authentic musical experience deeply rooted in street-corner blues and urban folk – a slow-burning mix of ambient, gin-soaked musical tales honed from a preoccupation with mythology, half-truths and the random twists of fate.

Ebony Portelli
Sunday, 2 March, 11am – 1pm

Ebony Portelli (she/her) is a passionate emerging performer recently graduating with a Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the Queensland Academy of Excellence under the direction of the renowned Professor Paul Sabey and Megan Shorey. Prior to studying at the Academy, Ebony was mentored by award winning Australian composer Mathew Frank, theatre performer Kath Tonkin and choreographer Freya List, at the Melbourne-based Showfit. Ebony regularly gigs at functions and events in venues around Melbourne and is enthusiastic to let this business thrive. In her spare time, Ebony loves spending time with her dog Maggie!

Renee Skye
Sunday, 6 April, 11am – 1pm

Renee Skye provides rich, soulful vocals performing songs across a range of genres and eras so there is music for everyone to enjoy. Renee is accompanied by her dad David on acoustic guitar. 

Renee Skye’s achievements include recording on the Casey ‘Star Search for a Cause’ album supporting cancer research, winning Knox Factor in 2021 and Melbourne’s first-ever advanced singing competition, ‘Youphoria’ at Bunjil Place held in November 2024.  

Renee Skye is soon to release her own music.
