Winterfest Workshop: Using Grids to Draw

With Leticia Hodson

With Leticia Hodson

In this workshop kids will learn how to use to a grid to practice correct proportion and perspective when drawing.

Leticia Hodson learnt to paint as a child but let her artistic interest lapse until she picked up the brushes again 35 years later during the COVID lockdown.

She now works as a full-time artist capturing the personalities of much-loved pets for her commissioned pet portraiture work while dabbling in other fun projects.

Leticia has been a part of several group shows for portraiture and created pet puppets for her solo interactive art installation for children at Burrinja in 2023.

Connect, create, learn, discover, share, imagine.

The Winterfest Kids’ Art Workshops are designed to give kids the opportunity to be creative in a supportive and facilitated environment over the school holidays.

These workshops will help to build motor skills, encourage creative play, and strengthen to bond between child and caregiver.

Given the nature of these workshops, it is recommended to wear clothes that can get messy.

Suitable for children 5 – 12 years.
