12 Doors of Christmas

A festive exhibition featuring 12 local artists, children's crafts, an advent calendar and more penguins that you might expect!

Dates: Friday, 1 December – Thursday, 21 December 2023
Times: Tuesday – Sunday, 10:00am – 3:00pm
Entry: FREE
Venue: CCC Gallery and Foyer

Cardinia Cultural Centre has engaged 12 unique artists to showcase their interpretation of the 12 days of Christmas according to the famous poem.

This exhibition also features crafts made during the Christmas Kids’ Art Workshops, which you can get tickets for here.

On your way to the gallery, take some happy snaps in front of our festive Christmas penguin-themed backdrop, created by Karen Alsop as part of her augmented reality Cardinia Arts Small Change Grant project.

There will also be some interactive floor stickers, where you can bring Aussie animals to life using your smartphone!

Poem:

“…On the twelfth day of Christmas
My true love sent to me:
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves, and
A partridge in a pear tree.”

Did you know?
