To compliment the Walking Through a Songline exhibition, Cardinia Cultural Centre is delighted to present a series of recent works created by local Wurundjeri artist Alex Kerr.

Artist statement:

“The theme for this exhibition is all about Connecting to Country. For all First Nations people, our connection to our lands, waterways, and culture, is what makes us who we are as peoples. Sharing this knowledge will hopefully encourage everyone to find their connection, to then allow all of us to walk together as one.”

Artist biography:

Alex Kerr is a proud Wurundjeri man, which is part of the Woi-Wurrung Language group and forms part of the Kulin Nation.

“I love my culture and sharing my knowledge through my artwork, and by doing so educating the wider community of who we are and have amazing and important our culture.”
