Developed by lifetime shire resident, Dae Knight, Prism celebrates the incredible diversity and inclusivity of Cardinia Shire.

“A prism is a lens which refracts light into rainbow colours. In the usage here the title is a metaphor, the exhibition is a prism taking the “light” of Cardinia and breaking it up to show off a diverse rainbow of artwork/artists. “

Featuring works by artists Will Swords, Anjela Zotos, Erin Bradshaw, Jayden Dineen-Occhipinti, Echo, Georgia Jones and Zara Holt Steele.

Curator biography:

Dae Knight is a nonbinary artist and a lifetime resident of Pakenham. They watched the town grow with them into a bustling suburb while spending their schooling out in the country. For them, Cardinia is a place that encompasses so much colour, diversity and character that it’s easy to feel at home.

In day-to-day life, they split their time between organising events for the local LGBTQIA+ community, studying art at Deakin university, and caring for their mum. They hope that they will be remembered as someone that always fostered community and connections between people.
